Universal Joints

Ameridrives Universal Joints are designed to transmit high torque between rotating shafts while accommodating significant shaft misalignment. They are used in demanding industrial applications such as steel mills, metal processing, oil and gas, mining, construction, marine, and other heavy-duty power transmission systems.

Ameridrives Universal Joints feature high torque capacity, long bearing life, high operating angle capability, one-piece yoke and bearing housing construction, heat-treated alloy steel components, and bearing designs engineered for reliable operation. Certain models also use precision roller bearings and sealing systems designed to resist contamination and lubrication loss.

Selected Ameridrives Universal Joint models, including the Americardan 3000, 5000, and J Series, are designed to operate at high misalignment angles of up to 15 degrees. This capability makes them suitable for demanding rotating equipment where significant shaft angular movement must be accommodated.

Ameridrives offers several Americardan Universal Joint designs, including the 2000 Series, 3000 Series, 5000 Series, and J Series. The 3000 and 5000 Series are designed for high-angle and high-torque applications, while the 2000 Series provides multiple bearing configurations. Special sizes and customized designs are also available for specific application requirements.
